Spay.LA aims to combat animal overpopulation by creating affordable, available, and accessible spay/neuter clinics for the millions of street cats and stray dogs in Los Angeles.

By creating 10 low-cost, high-volume, affordable spay/neuter clinics across the city, we can perform 300,000 operations per year and reach a stray population stasis in just 18 months.

Accessible Clinics
By strategically placing 10 clinics across the city of LA, pet owners no longer have to experience long drives during rush hour traffic with a frightened pet.
Additionally, clinics will offer free transport vans for clients without private transportation.
Affordable Surgeries
Currently, procedures can range from $400 to $900. By adopting a high volume, low cost business model, Spay.LA can bring procedures prices down to just $50.
Additionally, we will offer a voucher program for low income families and their pets.
Why Neuter?
Euthanasia rates
The cruel reality of animal overcrowding at the 6 Los Angeles City Shelters and a 72% increase in euthanasia rates don’t need to be “business as usual”. With adequate access to low cost spay/neuter services we can lower euthanasia rates and save animal lives.
Animal Diseases
Spaying helps prevent uterine infections and breast cancer, which is fatal in about 50% of dogs and 90% of cats.
Neutering males can also prevent testicular cancer when done before six months of age.
Pet Health
Thousands of stray animals die on Los Angeles streets each month. Starvation, disease and injuries affect a community’s quality of life. Unneutered dogs are 3 times more likely to bite or initiate a dog fight. 10% of all traffic accidents are caused by animals in the road.
